Buying solar panels at trade prices
ClearRay Solar stocks MCS-approved solar panels from leading manufacturers including JA Solar, LONGi, Canadian Solar and Aiko, held in our UK warehouse and sold at trade prices to everyone — no account needed. Whether you are an installer buying by the pallet or specifying a single residential array, every panel listed shows live stock levels, pence-per-watt pricing and full datasheets so you can compare like for like before you order.
Choosing the right panel technology
Most panels we stock use N-type TOPCon or HPBC cell technology, which has largely replaced older P-type PERC modules at the quality end of the market. N-type cells degrade more slowly, perform better in high temperatures and typically carry stronger performance warranties, which matters over a 25-plus-year service life. Bifacial double-glass modules generate additional yield from light reflected onto the rear face, making them worth considering for ground mounts, flat commercial roofs and carports where rear-side light is available. All-black monofacial panels remain the popular choice for residential pitched roofs where appearance matters to the homeowner.
Wattage, size and system design
Panel output in this range typically spans 430W to 515W-plus in the standard residential 54-cell format and larger commercial formats. Higher wattage is not automatically better value — compare the pence-per-watt figure shown on every product card, then check the physical dimensions against your roof layout. A slightly lower-wattage panel that lets you fit an extra module per string often beats a premium high-output panel on total array yield. If you are unsure how many panels, which inverter and what battery capacity a job needs, our System Builder matches compatible inverters and batteries and produces a full bill of materials in about a minute.
Traceability and certification
Panels supplied for MCS-certified installations must themselves be MCS-approved, and several ranges we stock — including JA Solar traceable series — offer module-level traceability documentation increasingly requested on commercial and new-build projects. Datasheets and certificates are available on each product page, and our team can confirm certification details before you commit to a pallet quantity.
Stock, delivery and ordering
Every panel listing shows a live stock counter fed directly from our warehouse, so what you see is what can ship — no back-order surprises mid-project. Orders are picked from UK stock and sent on tracked, insured delivery nationwide, with pallet quantities booked in with you before dispatch so there is someone on site to offload. All prices are shown exclusive of VAT to suit how you quote, and because every price is already our trade price, there is no account application, minimum spend or credit check standing between you and checkout. If a line you need shows low stock against a large job, contact the team before ordering and we will confirm inbound quantities and lead times.
Frequently asked questions
Are all your solar panels MCS approved?
Yes — the panels we stock are MCS-approved, with datasheets and certification available on each product page, so they can be used on MCS-certified installations.
What does the pence-per-watt figure mean?
It is the panel price divided by its rated output, shown on every product card. It is the quickest way to compare value between panels of different wattages and brands.
Should I choose bifacial or all-black panels?
Bifacial double-glass panels add yield where light can reach the rear face — ground mounts, flat roofs, carports. All-black monofacial panels are the usual pick for residential pitched roofs where appearance matters.
Can you help me work out how many panels I need?
Yes. Use the System Builder for a matched panel, inverter and battery list with a full bill of materials, or speak to our solar specialists before you order.
Do you deliver panels in pallet quantities?
Yes — we supply single panels through to full pallets nationwide with tracked delivery from our UK warehouse. Stock levels shown on each product are live.
