The JA Solar JAM66S30 MR 500 W is an Mono PERC solar panel. PERC cells add a rear passivation layer that reflects unabsorbed light back through the silicon for a second pass. It delivers 21.1 % module efficiency from a 2,093 × 1,134 mm frame.

At 2,093 mm tall and 2.37 m² this is a commercial-format module, intended for warehouse and barn roofs, ground mounts and solar farms where the extra length is not a constraint. It is usually too long for a typical domestic roof plane.

Array sizing
Each panel covers 2.37 m². A 4 kWp array needs 8 of them (4.00 kWp over about 19 m²). A 6 kWp array needs 12 of them (6.00 kWp over about 28 m²). At 26.3 kg each they are a two-person lift.
