Tesla Powerwall 3 Expansion 13.5kWh DC Battery
The Tesla Powerwall 3 Expansion 13.5kWh DC Battery is designed to increase the storage capacity of an existing Tesla Powerwall 3 energy storage system. This official Tesla DC expansion battery provides an additional 13.5kWh of usable energy storage, making it easy to expand your home battery system as your energy requirements grow.
A single Tesla Powerwall 3 supports up to 20kW of DC solar input, delivers 11.04kW of continuous AC output, stores 13.5kWh of energy and can start heavy electrical loads rated up to 185A LRA. This allows one Powerwall 3 to comfortably support the power demands of most homes while maximising solar self-consumption and providing reliable backup power.
Designed with scalability in mind, the Tesla Powerwall 3 system enables installers and homeowners to add multiple Powerwall 3 Expansion Batteries or additional Powerwall 3 units. A fully expanded system can provide up to 44kW of continuous AC power and a total storage capacity of 94.5kWh, making it suitable for larger residential and light commercial energy storage applications.
