Solis FlexHome Stackable Low Voltage Battery System with BMS
Product details
The Solis FlexHome L is a stackable low voltage LiFePO4 battery system, sold here complete with its BMS. Every option on this page is a floor-standing tower built from the same 5 kWh module, so the capacity you order is simply the number of modules in the stack – three for 15 kWh, eight for 40 kWh.
Low voltage is the distinction that matters when you choose it. The FlexHome L runs at a 52 V nominal battery voltage and pairs with Solis low voltage hybrid inverters, where the FlexHome H series is the high voltage line for a different set of inverters. Getting that the wrong way round is the one specification error worth double-checking before you order.
FlexHome L at a glance
What comes in the box
- Between three and eight FlexHome 5 kWh LV battery modules, depending on the capacity you select
- One FlexHome stackable LV BMS, which manages the whole stack – you do not need to buy it separately on this page
- A hybrid inverter. The battery stores energy; the inverter converts it
- Installation, and the DNO notification under G98 or G99
- Solar panels and any DC cabling to the array
Choosing a capacity
The stack grows in 5 kWh steps, and because the BMS is the same whichever option you pick, each step up is the cost of one more module. A three-module 15 kWh tower suits a household already exporting a good share of its generation; six to eight modules make sense where there is an EV on a cheap overnight tariff, electric heating, or a desire to carry a whole evening's load without importing.
The modular design is the point of the range. Solis builds each unit as an independent module, so a stack that starts at 15 kWh can be extended later by adding modules rather than replacing the system. If you expect to grow, order the capacity you need today and keep the part number on file.
Low voltage, and what it pairs with
A low voltage battery sits at a nominal 52 V and needs an inverter built for that architecture. Within the Solis range that means the low voltage hybrid models, such as the S6 10kW three phase low voltage hybrid. Each module is rated for 5 kW of continuous discharge, so the power a stack can deliver scales with the modules in it – but the usable output is ultimately set by the inverter, not the battery, which is why the inverter is chosen first.
If your inverter is a high voltage model, the equivalent product is the FlexHome 5kWh stackable high voltage module. For a smaller wall-mounted installation rather than a floor-standing tower, the IntelliHome line covers 5 kWh, 10 kWh and 16 kWh in the same low voltage architecture.
Cells, cycle life and certification
The FlexHome range uses lithium iron phosphate cells throughout. Solis rates the series for a depth of discharge of 90% or more and more than 6,000 cycles, which the manufacturer describes as an average service life of around ten years. LiFePO4 is the chemistry most home storage has settled on because it tolerates deep daily cycling and runs at a lower cell temperature than the nickel-based alternatives.
The Documents tab below carries the certification pack: TUV certificates against IEC 62619 and IEC 63056 for the cells and system, VDE 2510, the IEC 61000-6 EMC certificates, the CE declaration of conformity covering both the 5–40 kWh L and 15–40 kWh H ranges, and the UN 38.3 transport test summary. The quick installation manual, the full user manual and the Solis ESS battery limited product warranty are there too.

-
Solis S6 10kW three phase LV hybrid inverter A low voltage hybrid inverter is required to charge and discharge the stack. This is the three phase 10 kW model from the same range.
-
FlexHome 5 kWh LV battery module One more module adds 5 kWh to an existing tower. The BMS already in your system carries it, so there is nothing else to add.
-
FlexHome 5 kWh HV battery module The high voltage equivalent, for a site whose inverter is an HV model rather than LV.
The rest of the range sits in our Solis battery collection, and the inverters that drive them are in the wider Solis range.
Please note that the provided documents are currently partially provisional and not yet complete. The FlexHome LV datasheet is published by Solis as preliminary, so a figure may be revised before the final release.

Questions about the FlexHome L
No. Every option on this page includes one stackable LV BMS along with the modules. The BMS is sold on its own only for a system being built up module by module.
Yes. Each module is an independent unit and the stack is designed to be extended, so a 15 kWh tower can take further modules up to 40 kWh without changing the BMS.
Only if that inverter is a low voltage model. The FlexHome L is a 52 V nominal battery; a high voltage inverter needs the FlexHome H instead.
Each module is rated at 5 kW continuous discharge, so a stack has more headroom than most homes draw. In practice the inverter sets the ceiling on both charge and discharge.
FlexHome is the stackable floor-standing tower, built from 5 kWh modules. IntelliHome is wall-mounted and comes as a single 5, 10 or 16 kWh unit.
