About the Sigenergy SigenStor EC and Sigen Battery package
SigenStor is a tower rather than a wall box: the Energy Controller sits on top and the battery modules stack beneath it, on the ground mount kit that is in this package. The power sensor that measures the house is included too, which is the part most often forgotten when these are quoted piece by piece.
The battery is rated at a genuine 100 % depth of discharge with 314 Ah cells and a 10,000 cycle life, and the whole column is IP66 and convection cooled with no fans.
Which inverter will run this battery?
This is a complete SigenStor tower: the Energy Controller, the battery modules under it, the mounting kit and the power sensor.
Everything in this package is matched: the Energy Controller, the SigenStor BAT modules and the power sensor are one system and are commissioned together. The stack can grow to six modules on the same controller later, and modules may be mixed old and new because each one carries its own optimiser.
Stack rules, cabling and what else the job needs
The details that decide whether this battery suits the system:
- The controller takes one to six battery modules. This package is the starting stack; more modules can be added later and mixed with these.
- Sigenergy rate these modules at 100 % depth of discharge, and the usable figure they publish is about 97 % of the total — 5.84 kWh of 6.02, or 8.76 kWh of 9.04. Design to the usable figure.
- The mounting kit in the package is the ground-mount version with adjustable levelling feet. Wall mounting uses a different kit.
- The single-phase power sensor with an external CT is included.
- Battery window on a single-phase controller is 300 – 600 V.
- For a break-free backup output the system also needs a Sigen Energy Gateway, which is not part of this package.
- Recharge the battery within seven days of a full discharge, per Sigenergy's own instruction.

The controller has a backup output, but the 0 ms break-free figure Sigenergy quote needs a Sigen Energy Gateway as well, which is not in this package. Ask us and we will price it.
Is the 10.0 kWh module really 10 kWh?
It is 9.04 kWh total and 8.76 kWh usable. The 6.0 module is 6.02 kWh total and 5.84 kWh usable. Those are Sigenergy's own figures and they are the ones on this page.
