SolaX X3 G4-V2 Hybrid 3 Phase Inverter HV 15.0kW
SolaX X3 G4-V2 Hybrid 3 Phase Inverter HV 15.0kW
SolaX X3-Hybrid G4 — 98 % efficient three-phase storage with a 60-second EPS peak.
A hybrid inverter does three jobs a string inverter cannot. It converts solar DC to AC; it charges and discharges a battery on the DC side, which avoids the double conversion an AC-coupled battery pays for; and when the grid fails it islands the house and keeps the EPS output alive from the battery.
About the SolaX X3-Hybrid G4
The X3-Hybrid G4 is the three-phase version of the same idea, and the figure that stands out is the EPS peak: 16.5 kVA for a full sixty seconds on the 15 kW, rather than the ten seconds most competitors quote. A minute is long enough to ride out a compressor start or a pump cycling rather than merely to survive the inrush.
Two MPP trackers take 26 A and 16 A with a 180 – 950 V window, so long strings are straightforward, and several units can be paralleled for larger commercial systems.
It is 503 × 503 × 199 mm and 30 kg, IP65, with a 98.0 % maximum and 97.7 % European efficiency.
Which battery does this inverter take?
This inverter takes SolaX Triple Power HV, high voltage lithium.
This model has a battery voltage window of 180 – 650 V.
This rule applies to the SolaX X3-Hybrid G4 (180 – 650 V), X3-Hybrid Pro G4 and X3-Ultra (120 – 800 V).
Heated LFP modules, one master plus slaves. The window and the maximum current differ between the three X3 platforms, so read the figure in this model's own specification above.

String design, battery limits and what is in the box
The details that decide whether this unit suits the job:
- Battery is high-voltage lithium, 180 – 650 V, 30 A maximum continuous charge or discharge. Lead-acid is listed as under development, not available.
- Two MPP trackers with 2 and 1 strings, 26 A and 16 A, 30 A and 20 A Isc. 1,000 V maximum, 200 V start-up, 180 – 950 V MPP window, 640 V nominal.
- Maximum PV array input power is 18,000 Wp on the 15 kW.
- EPS gives rated power continuously and 16,500 VA for 60 seconds on the 15 kW, switching in under 10 ms.
- An energy meter is required on every installation — the SolaX M3-40 three-phase CT meter is the part.
- When paralleling, every inverter must have the same kW rating. The X3 PBOX-150kW-G2 connects up to ten hybrids for 150 kW.
- Wi-Fi is included with the V2 product; no Pocket Wi-Fi needed.
- 503 × 503 × 199 mm, 30 kg, IP65, smart cooling under 45 dB on the 12 and 15 kW.
Where this hybrid earns its place
The X3-Hybrid G4 is specified most often for these jobs.
Things worth knowing about this listing
- Wi-Fi is included with the G4 V2, so no separate Pocket Wi-Fi is needed.
- An energy meter is required for every installation. Please see SOLAX-M3-40.
- When installing in parallel, all inverters must have the same kilowatt rating.
- When paralleling, every inverter in the system must have the same kW rating.

Ordered with this inverter more often than anything else
A hybrid is the middle of a system, not the whole of it. These are the parts our customers add most often:
Questions we get asked about this inverter
Which battery?
A high-voltage lithium stack inside 180 – 650 V. Note that this is not the X1-Hybrid's 80 – 480 V window, nor the X3 Pro's 120 – 800 V: check the inverter before ordering the battery.
How long can it hold its peak output?
Sixty seconds at 16,500 VA on the 15 kW, which is unusually long for this class and is what lets it start and hold a motor load.
Do I need a meter?
Yes, on every installation. On three phase that is the SolaX M3-40 CT meter, bought separately.
Can I parallel them?
Yes, through the X3 PBOX-150kW-G2, up to ten inverters and 150 kW, provided every inverter has the same kW rating.
