SolaX EPS boxes — One inverter or ten — the box that decides what backup can actually carry.
Backup power is limited by two things: how much the inverter can produce and how the property is switched over to it. These boxes are the second half of that.
About the SolaX EPS boxes
The X1 EPS box is the single-inverter case. It integrates two contactors so the installer wires between inverter and box rather than building a changeover arrangement, and it is rated at 100 A for the X-hybrid E series.
The X3 EPS Parallel Box G2 solves a bigger problem. It connects up to six hybrid inverters for 60 kW, or up to ten for 150 kW, and synchronises their EPS outputs so backup can carry large consumers and bigger PV systems. It works across every device generation from G2 and G3 through G4 to the current G4.2.
One caution applies to all of them: only essential loads should be wired to the EPS circuits, and the backup capability has to be checked against what the property actually needs.
