About the Tesla Powerwall handling equipment
The dolly connects directly to the battery — slide rails and a locking plate on a Powerwall 3, adjustable straps on a Powerwall 2 or Powerwall+ — and holds it through transit and placement. A lead screw lifting mechanism driven by a standard 18 to 20 V cordless drill through a 19 mm socket raises and lowers it with precision.
Pneumatic tyres and single-lever dual hydraulic disc brakes let it cross rough ground and go down stairs with the Powerwall secured, which is what makes awkward installations possible with one crew.
The ramp is the other half of the problem: a custom ramp made for unloading Powerwall 3 units from a vehicle, so the battery never has to be lifted down.

- Brakes are single-lever, dual hydraulic disc. Tyres are pneumatic.
- Dolly dimensions are 1,690 × 593 × 461 mm at 24 kg, so plan the van space.
