SolaX Triple Power 6.0kWh battery stack with BMS

SolaX Triple Power 3.0 — 3 kWh a module, one to four modules under one BMS, 3 to 12.2 kWh.

A battery pays for itself by moving energy in time: solar generated at midday and electricity bought on an overnight rate, both spent in the evening. What decides whether it pays is the usable capacity, the charge rate and the cycle life.

Overview

About the SolaX Triple Power 3.0

Triple Power 3.0 is SolaX's small-step stack: 3 kWh a module and 2.7 kWh usable at a 90 % depth of discharge, with 6,000 cycles. One MC0600 BMS box carries one to four HV10230 modules, so a system runs from 3 to 12.2 kWh in 3 kWh steps.

Small steps are the point. A 3 kWh increment sizes a stack much closer to what a house actually shifts each evening than a 5 or 6 kWh one, and the whole tower is 482.5 mm wide and 153 mm deep.

The modules run from −30 to +50 °C for both charge and discharge, which is a wider window than most, and the enclosure is IP65.

What each stack size gives you

One MC0600 BMS box carries one to four modules:

Stack size
1 module3.05 kWh nominal — 2.75 kWh usable
2 modules6.10 kWh nominal — 5.49 kWh usable
3 modules9.15 kWh nominal — 8.23 kWh usable
4 modules12.20 kWh nominal — 10.98 kWh usable

Which inverter will run this battery?

This is a SolaX Triple Power stack: 3 kWh modules in series under an MC0600 BMS box.

Lithium-ion or lead-acid, 30 A maximum continuous charge or discharge.

Hybrid inverter platforms in our range that take this architecture:

Inverter platforms
SolaX X1-Hybrid G4Single phase, X1-HYBRID-3.0-D, X1-HYBRID-3.7-D, X1-HYBRID-5.0-D, X1-HYBRID-6.0-D

Inverters we stock that will run it:

This is not the same battery window as the three-phase X3 platforms, which want 120 – 800 V (or 180 – 650 V on the X3-Hybrid G4). A stack built for an X3 will not work here and one built for this will not work there. Check the inverter's part number before ordering the battery.
For the installer

Stack rules, cabling and what else the job needs

The details that decide whether this battery suits the system:

  • One MC0600 BMS box takes one to four HV10230 modules. The BMS is a separate part — a module on its own will not run.
  • 30 Ah a module. 25 A recommended and 30 A maximum charge or discharge current; the maximum may be lower depending on the inverter model.
  • Nominal voltage is 102.4 V a module: 102.4 V at one through to 409.6 V at four, with operating windows of 90 – 116 V and 360 – 464 V.
  • This is the single-phase X1-Hybrid G4 battery window, 80 – 480 V. The three-phase X3 platforms want 120 – 800 V or 180 – 650 V and take the T-BAT H 5.8 instead.
  • Round-trip efficiency 95 %, cycle life 6,000 at 90 % depth of discharge, ten-year warranty.
  • The MC0600 is 482.5 × 173.5 × 153 mm and 7.5 kg; each HV10230 is 482.5 × 471.5 × 153 mm and 34.5 kg.
  • Three- and four-module stacks need the T-BAT install kit with its cable and base; it is included in the 9.0 and 12.0 kWh stack listings.
  • −30 to +50 °C charge and discharge, storage −20 to +50 °C for three months, humidity 0 – 100 %, altitude below 3,000 m, IP65.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we get asked about this inverter

Is the module a battery on its own?

No. An HV10230 needs an MC0600 BMS box, which is a separate part. One MC0600 carries one to four modules.

Which inverter does it suit?

The single-phase X1-Hybrid G4, whose battery window is 80 – 480 V. The three-phase X3 platforms take the T-BAT H 5.8 instead.

How much can I use?

2.7 kWh a module, at a 90 % depth of discharge.

Can I go beyond four modules?

Not on one BMS box. SolaX's BMS Parallel Box G2 allows more batteries in parallel — ask us, because the version we stock is listed for T58 batteries.

What is in the stack listings?

The Package Contents block on each stack page is the definitive list: the modules, the MC0600 BMS, and on the 9.0 and 12.0 kWh stacks the install kit with its cable and base.
