Sunsynk 5.32kWh IP65 W5.3 Black Battery (Including Cable Sets)
Sunsynk 5.32kWh IP65 W5.3 Black Battery (Including Cable Sets)
Sunsynk W5.3 wall battery — 5.32 kWh at 48 V, IP65, with the isolator and the cable set already in the box.
A battery pays for itself by moving energy in time: solar generated at midday and electricity bought on an overnight rate, both spent in the evening. What decides whether it pays is the usable capacity, the charge rate and the cycle life.
About the Sunsynk W5.3 wall battery
The W5.3 wall battery is 5.32 kWh nominal and 4.79 kWh usable at a 90 % depth of discharge, rated for 6,000 cycles or 16 MWh to 70 % end of life, whichever comes first. It is a 48 V module, so it belongs to the same low-voltage architecture as the rest of the Sunsynk hybrid range.
It arrives complete. The isolator is integrated and the inverter-to-battery and battery-to-battery cables are in the box, which is the difference between this and a bare rack module.
IP65 and wall mounted, or racked in a 19-inch cabinet, with up to 32 in parallel.
What each stack size gives you
Batteries go in parallel, so the system stays at 48 V however many you fit. Up to 32 are allowed; these are the sizes people build:
Which inverter will run this battery?
This is a 48 V low-voltage battery, the architecture Sunsynk's ECCO, Classic, Acure and MAX inverters are built around.
This is Sunsynk's own 48 V battery and it is commissioned as part of a Sunsynk low-voltage system. It will not work on a high-voltage hybrid — the SG01HP3 three-phase runs at 160 – 800 V and no adapter bridges the two. It is a standard 48 V module electrically, so other low-voltage hybrids will often take it, but send us the inverter model and we will confirm against the manufacturer's approved list first.

Stack rules, cabling and what else the job needs
The details that decide whether this battery suits the system:
- 51.2 V nominal, 43.2 – 57.6 V operating, 104 Ah.
- 50 A recommended, 100 A maximum, 150 A for 2 minutes at 25 °C.
- Up to 32 batteries in parallel. The cable set in the box covers inverter-to-battery and battery-to-battery.
- Charge −10 °C to +55 °C, discharge −20 °C to +55 °C, storage 0 °C to +35 °C.
- 440 × 620 × 135 mm and 46 kg. Wall mounted, or in a 19-inch standard cabinet.
- CAN 2.0 and RS485 to the inverter. IP65.
- Available in black and white; the two are the same battery.
Where this battery earns its place
The W5.3 wall battery is specified most often for these jobs.
Things worth knowing about this listing
- In the box: the battery, an integrated double-pole 125 A MCB isolator, and the inverter-to-battery and battery-to-battery cable sets.
- Up to 32 batteries can be paralleled to expand capacity.

Questions we get asked about this inverter
Do I need to buy cables separately?
No. The inverter-to-battery and battery-to-battery cable sets are in the box, and the isolator is built in.
How much of it can I actually use?
4.79 kWh, at the recommended 90 % depth of discharge.
How many can I put together?
Up to 32 in parallel. Most homes fit one to four.
Will it work with a non-Sunsynk inverter?
Electrically it is a standard 48 V module, so most low-voltage hybrids will take it — but send us the inverter model and we will check the manufacturer's approved list before you order.
Can it go outside?
It is IP65, so it tolerates the weather, but plan for the temperature limits: charging is the constraint, not the rain.
