Sunsynk 10kW, 48Vdc Single Phase Hybrid Inverter with WIFI included
Sunsynk Classic single phase, SG02LP1 — Three MPP trackers and 250 A of battery current on a single phase — the largest domestic Sunsynk before the MAX.
A hybrid inverter does three jobs a string inverter cannot. It converts solar DC to AC; it charges and discharges a battery on the DC side, which avoids the double conversion an AC-coupled battery pays for; and when the grid fails it islands the site and keeps the essential-load output alive from the battery.
About the Sunsynk Classic single phase, SG02LP1
These are the big Classic units: three MPP trackers with two strings each, up to 18 kW of array on the 12 kW, and battery current of 220 A or 250 A. On a single-phase supply that is about as much system as can be built, and it is why they turn up on large houses and small workshops rather than on ordinary semis.
Sunsynk build these around two output terminals rather than one: an essential-load output that stays live in a power cut, and a non-essential-load output that does not. That split is why the range is specified so often for sites that actually want to keep working through an outage rather than merely to store cheap electricity.
Which battery does this inverter take?
This inverter takes Low voltage, 40 – 60 V, lead-acid or lithium-ion.
This model has a battery voltage window of 40 – 60 V, BMS communication over RS485; CAN.
This rule applies to the Sunsynk ECCO, Classic, Acure and MAX single phase, and the SG04LP3 three phase.
Charging strategy self-adapts to the battery BMS. Maximum charge and discharge current is model-specific and runs from 70 A on the 3 kW ECCO to 290 A on the 16 kW MAX.
What we stock that fits this inverter:
String design, battery limits and what is in the box
The details that decide whether this unit suits the job:
- Battery is 48 V nominal, 40 – 60 V, lead-acid or lithium-ion, with an external temperature sensor and BMS self-adaptation. Maximum charge and discharge is 220 A on the 10 kW and 250 A on the 12 kW.
- At 250 A the DC cabling and the battery's own continuous rating are usually what limit the design, not the inverter.
- Three MPP trackers, two strings each, 26 A per tracker and 44 A Isc. 500 V maximum, 125 V start-up, 150 – 425 V MPPT window, 370 V rated.
- Maximum PV input is 15 kW on the 10 kW and 18 kW on the 12 kW.
- Off-grid peak is twice rated power for 10 seconds; maximum continuous AC passthrough is 60 A.
- PV arc fault detection is integrated, with Type II surge protection on both DC and AC.
- 36 kg net and 42 kg gross, 420 × 670 × 233 mm, IP65, intelligent air cooling at under 45 dB.
- For Pylontech, REVOV or Hubble Lithium batteries the BMS cable is SUN-CAN-3M; for Freedom Won it is F-WON-CAN-SUN. Neither is included.
Where this hybrid earns its place
The Classic single phase, SG02LP1 is specified most often for these jobs.
Things worth knowing about this listing
- A Wi-Fi dongle is included.
- Compatible with most lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries.
- The BMS cable is battery specific and is not included: SUN-CAN-3M for Pylontech, REVOV and Hubble Lithium, F-WON-CAN-SUN for Freedom Won. Ask us and we will send the right one with the inverter.
Sunsynk SUNSYNK-10K-SG02LP1 technical data
Ordered with this inverter more often than anything else
A hybrid is the middle of a system, not the whole of it. These are the parts our customers add most often:
Questions we get asked about this inverter
How much battery can it charge?
220 A on the 10 kW and 250 A on the 12 kW. That is a large bank by domestic standards, and the DC cabling has to be sized for it.
Which BMS cable do I need?
SUN-CAN-3M for Pylontech, REVOV and Hubble Lithium; F-WON-CAN-SUN for Freedom Won. Ask us and we will get the right one to you with the inverter.
How many MPP trackers?
Three, each taking two strings at 26 A, which is what allows 15 kW to 18 kW of array across several roof planes.
Is it quiet enough for a house?
It is fan cooled at under 45 dB, so a utility room or garage rather than a hallway.
