Important

Please note that this inverter does not include a data logger, CT, meter or export power manager. The meter "SOL-METER-3PH-CT3" is needed for export power control of one inverter, for more than one inverter use the EPM3-5G-PLUS. The meter requires a data logging stick but EPM3-5G-PLUS has a built in data logger. These items are sold separately.

A mid-size three-phase inverter for larger houses, farm buildings and workshops. Up to 12 kW of panels, still a G98 connection.

String design

There are two independent MPPTs, 16 A and one string each, with a 20 A short-circuit rating. Tracking covers 160–1,000 V and the input limit is 1,100 V. Two roof faces or ground rows can each have their own string. Twenty-four 500 W panels, twelve per tracker, fill the 12 kW recommendation.

Your questions

Can the two strings face different directions?

Yes, each has its own tracker, so an east and a west string are optimised separately.

What maximum AC current should the circuit handle?

12.7 A per phase.

Will it work on a standard UK three-phase supply?

Yes. The datasheet lists 3/N/PE at 230/400 V, as well as 220/380 V.

How is the 8 kW sold in bulk?

Packs of 3 and 6 of the S5-GR3P8K. Per-unit pricing is shown in the table below.
