Solis SolisStorage PrimePower — A complete 50 kW / 109.7 kWh cabinet: cells, BMS, fire suppression and inverter, delivered as one unit.

This is not an inverter you pair with a battery. It is a finished commercial storage system in one cabinet: 109.7 kWh of CATL 306 Ah LFP cells in seven packs, the BMS, the thermal management, the fire suppression and a 50 kW Solis S6-EH3P50K-H hybrid inverter, wired and commissioned as a unit.

About the Solis SolisStorage PrimePower

Buying it as a system rather than as parts removes the two things that go wrong on commercial storage projects: a battery and an inverter that do not quite agree over CAN, and a fire strategy assembled after the fact. Here the fire suppression is standard — aerosol, explosion relief valve and a fire water inlet — with a flammable-gas detector, explosion relief panel and audible alarm available on the Pro version.

It scales to 500 kW and 6.5 MWh, switches to off-grid in under 10 ms (under 20 ms with several inverters in parallel), and is monitored through SolisCloud with remote control and OTA updates.

Battery compatibility

Which battery does this inverter take?

This inverter takes a battery that is already inside the cabinet.

This model has a battery voltage window of 313.6 – 403.2 V.

This rule applies to the SolisStorage PrimePower 109 kWh cabinet.

109.7 kWh of CATL 306 Ah LFP cells in seven packs, wired 1P112S at 358.4 V nominal and 313.6 – 403.2 V operating, with the BMS, thermal management and fire suppression built around them. 98.7 kWh of that is usable at a 0.5 P cycle rate.

There is no battery to choose and none to add. This is a closed system: the cells, the BMS and the inverter are matched and commissioned together, and a third-party battery cannot be connected to it.

String design, battery limits and what is in the box

The details that decide whether this unit suits the job:

  • The battery is built in and is not a choice: 1P112S of CATL 306 Ah LFP, 358.4 V rated, 313.6 – 403.2 V operating, 153 A rated DC current, seven packs of 15.67 kWh.
  • Usable energy is 98.7 kWh of the 109.7 kWh rated, at a 0.5 P maximum cycle rate and 89 % round-trip cycle efficiency.
  • The inverter inside is the S6-EH3P50K-H: 50 kW, 50 kVA, four MPP trackers, eight strings at 40 A, 96 kW of usable PV and a 150 – 850 V MPPT window.
  • 1,270 × 2,070 × 1,357 mm with the inverter fitted and 1,393 kg all in — 1,320 kg cabinet plus 73 kg inverter. Check the floor loading and the delivery route before you order.
  • IP55 cabinet and IP66 inverter, C5 anti-corrosion on the inverter and C4 or optional C5 on the battery. Noise is 70 dB at 1 m.
  • An external ATS is needed to parallel more than six units. Solis do not yet supply one; another manufacturer's ATS can be used.
  • Cabinet cooling is industrial air conditioning; the packs are naturally cooled and the inverter is fan cooled.
  • Certified to IEC 62619, IEC 61000-6/2/4, IEC 62040, IEC 63056, IEC 62477 and UN 38.3.

Do I choose a battery for this?

No. The battery is inside the cabinet and is part of the product: 109.7 kWh of CATL 306 Ah LFP cells, 98.7 kWh of it usable. There is no third-party battery option and none should be fitted.

How much power can it actually deliver?

50 kW and 50 kVA on grid, with 1.6 times rated for two seconds on the backup port, from the S6-EH3P50K-H inverter inside.

Can I connect PV directly?

Yes. The inverter takes up to 96 kW of usable PV across four MPP trackers and eight strings, so the cabinet can be the whole system rather than a battery bolted onto one.

What if I need more than 50 kW?

Units run in parallel to 500 kW and 6.5 MWh. Above six units an external ATS is required, and Solis do not yet supply one, so plan for a third-party ATS.

What does it weigh?

1,393 kg: 1,320 kg of cabinet and 73 kg of inverter. It needs a prepared base, a delivery route and lifting equipment.
