What changes at 2.5 kW
This is the first Mini on the larger hardware. It has two string connections, 19 A instead of 14 A, and a 30 A short-circuit rating. The case weighs 7.7 kg.
Two strings, one tracker
Both inputs run into the same MPPT, so they are tracked as one. Two matching strings on the same roof face work well. The tracking window moves up to 80–500 V, generation starts at 90 V and the rated voltage is 330 V. For an east/west split, where each face needs its own tracker, look at the S6 2.5 kW dual tracker.

Grid rules

Installer notes
Yes. The second input is optional. One string just needs to clear the 90 V start-up and stay inside the 80–500 V window.
Solis recommends up to 3.8 kW, for example eight 475 W panels split into two strings of four.
Yes. The export manager is inside the inverter and only needs the CT.
