Sigenergy Sigenstor Energy Controller 30.0 kW Three Phase

Sigenergy · SigenStor Energy Controller, three phase

Sigenergy Sigenstor Energy Controller 30.0 kW Three Phase

Sigenergy SigenStor Energy Controller, three phase — Unbalanced three-phase output, four MPP trackers and 98.4 % peak efficiency.

A hybrid inverter does three jobs a string inverter cannot. It converts solar DC to AC; it charges and discharges a battery on the DC side, which avoids the double conversion an AC-coupled battery pays for; and when the grid fails it islands the house and keeps the backup output alive from the battery.

Overview

About the Sigenergy SigenStor Energy Controller, three phase

SigenStor is not a wall box with a battery beside it. It is a tower: the Energy Controller on top, one to six battery modules under it, and optionally a DC EV charger in the same stack — solar inverter, battery PCS, battery pack, EV DC charger and EMS in one product. This listing is the Energy Controller, the module that does the converting and the managing.

The three-phase controller runs from 5 kW to 30 kW on a 600 – 900 V battery, with unbalanced output so it can follow a real house or unit rather than a balanced test load. Peak efficiency reaches 98.4 %, and the off-grid peak is 150 % of rated power for ten seconds.

Battery compatibility

Which battery does this inverter take?

This inverter takes SigenStor BAT series.

This model has a battery voltage window of 600 – 900 V.

This rule applies to the SigenStor Energy Controller (all SP, TP and TPLV models).

1 to 6 modules per controller. Battery module voltage range 300 – 600 V on single phase and three phase low voltage; 600 – 900 V on the three phase controller.

What we stock that fits this inverter:

The single-phase controller takes a 300 – 600 V stack and the three-phase controller a 600 – 900 V one. Both are SigenStor BAT modules, but a stack built for one controller is the wrong voltage for the other, so size it against the controller in front of you. Ask us if you are not certain.
For the installer

String design, battery limits and what is in the box

The details that decide whether this unit suits the job:

  • Battery is the SigenStor BAT series, one to six modules, 600 – 900 V on this platform. The single-phase controller uses 300 – 600 V, so the two stacks are not interchangeable.
  • MPP trackers by model: two on the 5.0 and 6.0 kW, three from 8.0 to 12.0 kW and four from 15.0 kW upwards, one string each at 16 A and 20 A short circuit.
  • 1,100 V maximum DC, 600 V nominal, 180 V start-up, 160 – 1,000 V MPPT window.
  • Maximum PV power runs from 8 kW on the 5.0 kW to 48 kW on the 30.0 kW — a 1.6 DC/AC ratio across the range.
  • The 0 ms backup figure is the load-side disruption time and it needs the Sigen Energy Gateway fitted alongside the Controller and the battery, with the Controller rated above the total house load. Without the Gateway there is still a backup output, but not a break-free one.
  • Off-grid peak is 150 % of rated power for 10 seconds; unbalanced three-phase output is supported.
  • 700 × 300 × 260 mm and 36 kg for every model, smart air cooled, IP66.
  • Sigenergy's footnote says the 30.0 kW three-phase model is only available in specific regions. We stock it — ask us to confirm the position for your installation.
Applications

Where this hybrid earns its place

The SigenStor Energy Controller, three phase is specified most often for these jobs.

Three-phase homes and small units5 kW to 30 kW on one platform.
Unbalanced loadsUnbalanced three-phase output as standard.
Backup that must not blink0 ms load-side disruption with the Sigen Energy Gateway.
Large arraysUp to 48 kW of PV on the 30 kW controller.
Sites adding EV DC chargingThe charging module stacks into the same tower.
Outdoor installationIP66 system rating.

Things worth knowing about this listing

These notes come from us and from the manufacturer, and they are the ones that most often cause a problem after delivery:
  • Sigenergy list this model as available in specific regions only. We hold stock — ask us to confirm availability and support for your installation before you order.
  • The 0 ms backup figure is the load-side disruption time and it needs the Sigen Energy Gateway fitted with the controller and the battery, with the controller rated above the total house load. Without a gateway there is still a backup output, but not a break-free one.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we get asked about this inverter

Which battery does it take?

SigenStor BAT modules, one to six, on a 600 – 900 V window — not the 300 – 600 V stack the single-phase controller uses. Check which controller you are ordering for.

Can it run an unbalanced load?

Yes. Unbalanced three-phase output is one of the platform's headline features, which matters in a house where one phase carries much more than the others.

Is the 30 kW available here?

Sigenergy list it as available in specific regions only. We hold stock; ask us and we will confirm the position for your installation.

What is the peak backup output?

150 % of rated power for ten seconds — 22,500 W on the 15 kW, 36,000 W on the 30 kW.
