Sigenergy 4G Communication Module
Sigenergy 4G Communication Module
Sigenergy Sigen Communication Module — For the site with no broadband — 4G, plug and play, two years of data included.
Sigenergy inverters have Wi-Fi and Ethernet built in, so on a normal house this module is not needed and should not be quoted.
About the Sigenergy Sigen Communication Module
It exists for the sites where neither works: a barn, a commercial roof, a plant room with no data cabling, or a property where the router is too far from the inverter to be relied on. The module adds 2G, 3G and 4G, is IP66 so it can live on the outside of the inverter, and is plug and play.
The two-year data plan is part of the product, so there is nothing to arrange with a network at commissioning.
Remote monitoring is not a luxury on a storage system. Firmware updates, warranty claims and any remote diagnosis all depend on the system being reachable.
What does this fit?
This is the 4G route to the internet for a site with no usable broadband.
Sigenergy inverters already have Wi-Fi and Ethernet built in, so this module is not needed on a site with a working connection. It is for the ones without: it adds 2G, 3G and 4G, plug and play, with a two-year data plan included.

What the job needs
The details that decide whether this suits the system:
- Only specify it where Wi-Fi and Ethernet are both unavailable — both are built into the inverter.
- Supports 2G, 3G and 4G. IP66. Plug and play.
- A two-year data plan is included with the module.
- It is part of the Sigenergy M1 + SigenStack commercial packages already, so check the Package Contents block before adding one.
Where this earns its place
The Sigen Communication Module is specified most often for these jobs.
