Sigenergy Sigen Energy Gateway for SigenStor — Three-phase backup for a SigenStor microgrid, sized by the number of Energy Controllers.
A commercial SigenStor system is several Energy Controllers working together, and something has to stand between all of them and the incoming three-phase supply. That is this gateway, and it is chosen by how many Energy Controllers the site will have rather than by kilowatt-hours of battery.
About the Sigenergy Sigen Energy Gateway for SigenStor
A gateway is not a meter and not a controller. It is the switch: it holds the property's connection to the grid, and when that grid fails it opens, forms the island and hands the load to the inverters and batteries behind it, with no interruption at the load side.
It also carries the bypass circuit, so the site can be put back on raw grid supply without taking the storage apart, and the smart port for a diesel generator, including two-wire start.
Anti-backflow is the other half of the job. Current is monitored in real time and export is shut down within 350 ms, which is what makes a G99 export limit enforceable rather than aspirational.

The details that decide whether this suits the system:
- Three phase, 380 – 400 V. The backup port matches the grid side in voltage, current and power on every model.
- Each Energy Controller port takes up to 45.6 A. Count controllers, not kilowatts, when choosing the model.
- C60-2 and C120-6 are wall mounted, IP54, naturally cooled, and rated for 0 – 100 % relative humidity. C180-9 is ground mounted, IP20 and 0 – 95 %, so it needs to be indoors or in a housing.
- Zero disruption is quoted at the load side and needs Sigen Energy Controllers and Sigen batteries rated above the total backup load.
- The smart port takes a diesel generator at full gateway rating, with two-wire start.
- Overvoltage category III. Fast Ethernet, RS485 and dry contact.
- −30 °C to +55 °C, up to 4,000 m. Ask Sigenergy for derating figures on a hot or high site.

Questions we get asked about this inverter
How do I pick between them?
By the number of Sigen Energy Controllers on the site. The C60-2 takes two, the C120-6 takes six and the C180-9 takes nine. The power rating follows from that.
Can I put a HYA or HYB C&I inverter behind these?
No. These are the SigenStor gateways, for Sigen Energy Controllers. The Sigen C&I inverters have their own gateways, the C600-B and C1200-B.
Are they weatherproof?
The C60-2 and C120-6 are IP54 and wall mounted. The C180-9 is IP20 and ground mounted, so it belongs indoors or inside a housing.
What is the switchover time?
Zero at the load side, provided Sigen Energy Controllers and batteries are behind it and the controllers are rated above the backup load.
