SolarEdge Home Battery - 1PH 400V 9.7kWh Battery v02

The SolarEdge Home Battery V2 (BAT-10K1PS0B-02) is the 1PH 400 V DC-coupled pack for SolarEdge single phase systems. It holds 9.7 kWh and gives all of it back – the usable figure is the nominal figure, because the battery is rated to 100% depth of discharge rather than holding a reserve you paid for but cannot reach.

Buy it singly or in a pack. A SolarEdge inverter supports up to three of these batteries, which is why the pack sizes stop at three: one, two and three are the whole range of what a single inverter can actually take, not arbitrary bulk tiers.

Choosing a pack size

One battery suits a household wanting to shift an evening peak off the grid. Two is the common choice where an electric car or a heat pump pushes consumption past what 9.7 kWh covers overnight. Three is the ceiling – the most a single SolarEdge inverter will manage – and is aimed at properties running most of the day on stored energy.

The packs cost less per battery than buying singly, and the saving is the same whether you take two or three: there is no extra discount for stepping up to three, so choose the size on storage you will use rather than on price per unit. Each option on this page is the identical battery; only the quantity in the box changes.

What is in the box

SolarEdge redesigned the V2 enclosure to certify to UL9540A alongside the existing IEC62619, and the packaging changed with it: a fire extinguisher is no longer supplied in the box, so do not plan the installation around finding one there.

Taking the battery and the inverter from the same manufacturer also keeps the paperwork in one place, with a single point of contact for warranty, support and training rather than two suppliers pointing at each other.

Siting and handling

At 1179 × 790 × 250 mm and 119 kg each, these are a two-person lift and the manoeuvring handles exist for good reason – a pack of three is over a third of a tonne arriving together. The IP55 enclosure and a −10 °C to +50 °C operating range give some latitude on where it goes, but weight and access usually decide the position before anything else does.
