About the Projoy Electric PEBS-L DC MCB with enclosure
The PEBS-L is built for exactly that position: between a battery and a hybrid inverter, protecting against both overload and short circuit. Projoy's own designing criterion is the arc — scientific arc extinguishing and a flash barrier, because a DC arc has no zero crossing to help put it out.
It is tested to EN 60947-2 and AS/NZS IEC 60947.2:2015, breaks 10 kA ultimate and 7.5 kA service, and is non-polarity, so it cannot be wired in backwards.
A PEBS-L on its own is IP40 with an IP20 wiring port, which is fine inside a board and not fine on a garage wall or outside. This listing is the breaker already in the enclosure that fixes that.
The enclosure is 100 % polycarbonate with anti-UV protection, flame retardant, IP66 indoors or out, with a spring-loaded lockable lid and top and bottom cable entry.

- These are 2-pole devices. The 160 V DC rating is the two-pole rating; a single pole is rated 80 V DC.
- Terminal capacity is 2.5 – 35 mm² at 2.0 – 3.5 Nm. On a 100 A or 125 A circuit, check the cable the design calls for will actually land in it before ordering.
- Icu is 10 kA and Ics 7.5 kA. Rated insulation voltage 500 V, impulse withstand 6 kV, overvoltage category III, pollution degree 3.
- The breaker itself is IP40 with an IP20 wiring port, so outdoors or in a damp position it needs the weatherproof enclosure.
- DIN rail mounted, 108 × 89 × 75.5 mm on the 125 A frame, 0.12 kg per pole.
- −30 °C to +70 °C operating, up to 2,000 m.
- Electrical life is an average of 1,000 cycles and mechanical life 10,000 — it is protection first and a switch second.
- The enclosure is 107 × 212 × 92 mm, rated up to 160 Vdc and 125 Adc, with top and bottom cable entry.
