A Force H3 system grows by adding towers, and past a point those towers need to arrive at the inverter as one connection rather than several. The parallel box is what does that: up to six strings combined, at up to 100 A continuous.
About the Pylontech Force H3 parallel box
There is one prohibition attached to it and it is absolute. Pylontech state that this combiner — or any similar multi-string connection method — must not be used where the multiple battery strings need to be operated independently.
That matters on any design where strings are meant to be isolated from one another for maintenance, for staged commissioning, or because they are on separate inverters. Combining them removes that independence at the electrical level, whatever the control system thinks it is doing.
