LONGi 535W Hi-MO X10 Scientist HPBC Half Cell Bifacial Black Frame Solar Panel
The LONGi Hi-MO X10 535 W is an HPBC 2.0 back-contact, N-type TaiRay wafer solar panel. LONGi's HPBC back-contact cells carry no front-side busbars, so the whole front surface collects light and the module presents a uniform face. It delivers 23.7 % module efficiency from a 1,990 × 1,134 mm frame.
About the LONGi Hi-MO X10 range
Hi-MO X10 is LONGi's high-end residential platform. LONGi rates the HPBC 2.0 cell for higher generation from the same area, a gridline-free low-glare face, and an anti-shading function that limits localised overheating where part of the array is shaded.
At 1,990 × 1,134 mm it is a residential-format module, sized to fit the rafter spans and roof planes of a standard UK house. Being bifacial, it earns most of its extra yield on flat roofs, ground mounts and light-coloured surfaces, where light reaches the back of the module; on a pitched tiled roof the rear-side gain is small.
Why installers specify this panel
- −0.260 %/°C power temperature coefficient — the array keeps more of its rated output on hot days, when a UK roof can sit far above the 25 °C the nameplate figure is measured at.
- Bifacial, 70 % ±5 % — the rear face adds generation from reflected and diffuse light, which suits flat roofs, ground mounts and light-coloured surfaces.
- Glass-glass construction — double glass, 2.0 mm coated tempered + 2.0 mm semi-tempered front and back instead of a polymer backsheet, for better resistance to moisture ingress and micro-cracking.
- Hail tested to 25 mm at 23 m/s — relevant for exposed and upland UK sites.
- All-black appearance — a black anodised frame and dark cells, for domestic roofs where the array has to be discreet.
- Long-dated warranty — 30-year power warranty; first-year degradation under 1 %, 0.35 % per year thereafter.

Array sizing
Each panel covers 2.26 m². A 4 kWp array needs 7 of them (3.75 kWp over about 16 m²). A 6 kWp array needs 11 of them (5.88 kWp over about 25 m²). At 28.0 kg each they are a two-person lift.
