The Ideal Logic Air 300 L is a two zone pre-plumbed DHW cylinder with integrated buffer, supplied fully pre-plumbed, pre-wired and configured for the Logic Air heat pump range. It holds 286 litres of stored hot water alongside a 63.5 litre integrated buffer, and reheats from 10 °C to 50 °C in 44.09 minutes.
A pre-plumbed cylinder arrives with the heat pump's hydraulics already built onto it and wired into a factory-fitted control box. This version carries an integrated buffer tank for defrost volume and stable modulation, and controls two heating zones independently — underfloor downstairs and radiators upstairs, typically.
The buffer matters more than it looks. A heat pump needs a minimum volume of water open to it at all times so it can reverse the cycle to defrost the outdoor coil, and radiators sitting behind thermostatic valves do not count towards that volume. Without a buffer or a volumiser most retrofits cannot meet the requirement, so building one into the cylinder cabinet saves both the floor space and a second set of connections.

Reheat time is measured to HWA Heat Pump Test 002:2020, 0.42 l/s at 55 °C flow temperature. Check the full weight against the floor before siting a cylinder this size: at 439.7 kg it is a structural consideration, not just a plumbing one.

25 years on the stainless steel cylinder, plus 2 years parts and labour on components. Ideal's terms and conditions apply, including registration and annual servicing.
