The Ideal Buffer Tank 25L is a buffer tank. Compatible with the Ideal Logic Air and HP290 heat pump ranges.
A heat pump needs a minimum volume of water permanently open to it. It uses that volume to reverse the cycle and defrost the outdoor coil, and it needs it to keep modulating smoothly rather than short cycling when zone valves close. Radiators behind thermostatic valves and underfloor loops behind actuators do not count towards it, which is why most systems need a buffer added.

Send us the roof layout, the output you're targeting and any existing equipment, and our team will spec a compatible system and flag anything needing G98 or G99 notification.
Larger orders ship palletised on a tail-lift vehicle. Someone needs to be on site to receive it, and delivery is kerbside unless arranged otherwise.
