Fox ESS H3 Pro 30kW 3PH Hybrid Inverter
Fox ESS H3 Pro 30kW 3PH Hybrid Inverter
Fox ESS H3 Pro — 15 kW to 30 kW commercial storage, with two battery ports and 50 A on each.
The H3 Pro is where Fox's hybrid range crosses into commercial. Fifteen to 30 kW of three-phase output, up to 45 kW of PV, and — the detail that matters — two independent battery ports rated 50 A each rather than one port shared.

About the Fox ESS H3 Pro
Two ports means two stacks, charged and discharged in parallel at 100 A combined. On a commercial site where the battery is sized to carry an evening peak rather than just an evening, that halves the time to fill and doubles the power available on the way out.
Three MPP trackers with two strings each and a 32 A rating handle commercial string lengths, and the AC input runs to 35 kVA for grid charging. EPS peak is 20 % above rated for 60 seconds.
Which battery does this inverter take?
This inverter takes High voltage Fox ESS stacks.
This model has a battery voltage window of 150 – 800 V, a maximum charge or discharge current of 50 + 50 A, BMS communication over CAN.
A stack is one master module, which carries the BMS, plus matching slave modules of the same type. Module types are never mixed in one stack. These are the counts this inverter is listed for — Product Compatibility Fox ESS UK 2026, the module count range for this inverter family:
What we stock that fits this inverter:
Two figures on this page have to be read together. The warning block above is our own note and limits an H3 Pro to two stacks of seven modules, fourteen in total. Fox's 2026 compatibility table allows more than that on some module types — up to 24 CQ7 or 18 EQ4800 on one inverter. If you are planning a stack larger than fourteen modules, ask us first and we will confirm it with Fox against your inverter's firmware before you order.
String design, battery limits and what is in the box
The details that decide whether this unit suits the job:
- Two battery inputs, 50 A each, 150 – 800 V, CAN. Note the full-AC-load battery voltage rises with model: 160 V on the 15 kW to 330 V on the 30 kW.
- Three MPP trackers, two strings each, 32 A per tracker, 40 A Isc, 15 kW maximum PV per tracker.
- 1,000 V maximum DC (950 V maximum operating — above that the inverter reports a PV overvoltage error), 750 V nominal, 160 V start-up.
- Full-load MPPT window is narrower than the tracking window and rises with model: 170 – 850 V on the 15 kW to 340 – 850 V on the 30 kW. Design strings to the full-load window.
- AC input up to 35 kVA. Export control fitted.
- DC switch, AFCI and string monitoring are all optional on this range.
- Up to 10 units in parallel. EPS switch time under 20 ms.
- 600 × 560 × 225 mm, 52.5 kg net. Smart fan cooling; 15 and 20 kW under 45 dB, 25 and 30 kW under 60 dB.
- Standby consumption is 200 W hot standby, 18 W cold standby — significant on a commercial energy budget.
Where this hybrid earns its place

Questions we get asked about this inverter
Why two battery ports?
Two stacks charge and discharge in parallel, 50 A each, 100 A combined. On a commercial site that is the difference between covering an evening peak and merely softening it.
What is the full-load MPPT window for?
The inverter tracks across 150 – 850 V but only delivers full rated output inside a narrower band that depends on the model — 340 – 850 V on the 30 kW. Design your strings to the full-load window or you will not see nameplate output.
Is the DC isolator included?
No, it is optional on this range, as are AFCI and string monitoring. Specify what the job needs.
What is hot standby costing me?
200 W in hot standby against 18 W cold. Over a year that is a real number on a commercial meter — worth discussing with the commissioning engineer.
Which battery?
Fox high voltage stacks, 150 – 800 V. The CQ7 range for H3 Pro is 4 to 24 modules, and the ECS4300 range is 3 to 14.
