Fox ESS Evo Series 10.0kW with 10.24kWh

Fox ESS · EVO Series all-in-one

Fox ESS Evo Series 10.0kW with 10.24kWh

Fox ESS EVO Series all-in-one — 10 kW hybrid inverter, 10.24 kWh of battery and a 10 kW EPS supply in one IP66 unit.

An all-in-one removes the second box from the wall. Instead of a hybrid inverter, a battery beneath it and the cabling between them made up on site, the EVO arrives as one unit with the DC side already built and commissioned as a single product.

Overview

About the Fox ESS EVO Series all-in-one

The battery is 10.24 kWh of LFP at a 95 % depth of discharge, which is 9.73 kWh usable — a higher proportion than the 90 % the modular Fox stacks allow. Cycle life is 6,000 and the unit charges at up to 10 kW.

The inverter side is 10 kW rated with three MPP trackers at 8 kW each, up to 20 kW of array, and a 200 % oversize ratio. The EPS output matches the rated power and peaks at 20 kVA for ten seconds, with a switch time under 4 ms.

Cell warming and fire suppression are built in, it is IP66 for outdoor or indoor use, and up to three units run in parallel.

Inverter compatibility

Which inverter will run this battery?

This is an integrated system rather than a battery: the hybrid inverter, the 10.24 kWh battery and the EPS supply are one unit.

There is no separate inverter to choose. The EVO contains its own 10 kW hybrid inverter with three MPP trackers and its own EPS output, so the only compatibility question is the incoming supply and the array. Up to three units run in parallel for 30.72 kWh.

For the installer

Stack rules, cabling and what else the job needs

The details that decide whether this battery suits the system:

  • 10.24 kWh LFP battery at a 95 % depth of discharge, 6,000 cycles, charging at up to 10 kW.
  • Inverter: 10,000 W rated, 11,000 VA maximum apparent, 45.5 A rated output current per phase.
  • PV: three MPP trackers at 8,000 W each, 20,000 Wp maximum array, 600 V maximum input, 80 – 550 V MPPT window, 20 A per tracker and 25 A short-circuit.
  • EPS: 10,000 VA continuous, 12,000 VA for 60 s, 15,000 VA for 30 s and 20,000 VA for 10 s. Switch time under 4 ms, dual EPS expansion supported.
  • Up to three units in parallel, 30.72 kWh.
  • 97.60 % maximum conversion efficiency, 97.20 % European.
  • 584 × 1,009 × 197 mm and 113 kg. Floor or wall mounted, IP66, intelligent air cooling under 45 dB.
  • −20 to +55 °C, altitude under 4,000 m with derating above 2,000 m. Ethernet, RS485 EMS, meter, WiFi/LAN/Bluetooth, DRM, ripple control, USB, BMS CAN and SG Ready.
Applications

Where this battery earns its place

The EVO Series all-in-one is specified most often for these jobs.

Solar and storage in one installInverter and battery in one unit.
Whole-home backup10 kVA EPS, 20 kVA for ten seconds.
Outdoor installationIP66 rather than IP65.
Retrofit where wall space is shortOne box, not two.
Cold locationsIntegrated battery warm-up.
Larger homesUp to three units in parallel, 30.72 kWh.

Things worth knowing about this listing

These notes come from us and from the manufacturer, and they are the ones that most often cause a problem after delivery:
  • Capacity grows by adding whole units: up to three in parallel, 30.72 kWh. The battery inside a unit is not expandable.

Frequently asked questions

Questions we get asked about this inverter

Do I need a separate inverter?

No. The EVO is the inverter as well as the battery — a 10 kW hybrid with three MPP trackers and its own EPS output.

How much of the 10.24 kWh can I use?

9.73 kWh. The depth of discharge is 95 %, higher than the 90 % the modular Fox stacks allow.

Can I add capacity later?

By adding another whole unit — up to three in parallel, 30.72 kWh. The battery inside a unit is not expandable.

Will it run the house in a power cut?

The EPS output is rated at the full 10 kVA and peaks at 20 kVA for ten seconds, switching in under 4 ms.

Can it go outside?

Yes, IP66, floor or wall mounted, −20 to +55 °C.
