Anker Solix WLAN Dongle
Anker Solix WLAN Dongle
Anker SOLIX X1 connectivity dongles — Wi-Fi where there is a router, 4G where there is not — with five years of data.
The Anker SOLIX X1 is an all-in-one storage system built around a 15 cm wide IP66 enclosure with a C5 anti-corrosion rating, internal heating for operation down to −20 °C and 100 % PV over-sizing.
About the Anker SOLIX X1 connectivity dongles
All of that is commissioned and monitored through the Anker app, which means the system has to be reachable. These two dongles are the two ways of achieving that.
The WLAN dongle is the normal choice: it joins the property's own wireless network and needs nothing else. It is the right part wherever the router signal reaches the inverter position reliably.
The 4G dongle is for everywhere else — a barn, a detached garage, a commercial roof, or a house where the router is at the other end. It ships with a five-year SIM plan, so there is nothing to arrange with a network at commissioning.
Connectivity is not a nicety on a storage system. Commissioning, firmware updates and any remote support all depend on it.
What does this fit?
This is how an X1 system reaches the internet.
One dongle per system, chosen by what the site has. The WLAN dongle uses the property's own wireless network; the 4G dongle is for sites with no usable broadband and includes a five-year SIM plan.

What the job needs
The details that decide whether this suits the system:
- One dongle per system.
- The 4G dongle includes a five-year SIM plan.
- Choose the WLAN dongle only where the property's wireless signal reaches the inverter position reliably — an X1 is often in a garage or on an outside wall.
- The system needs to be reachable for commissioning, firmware updates and remote support.
Where this earns its place
The dongle is chosen by what connectivity the site has.
