The AIKO Neostar 2S+ 510 W is an N-Type ABC (All Back Contact) solar panel. AIKO's All-Back-Contact cell design moves every busbar to the rear of the cell, leaving the entire front face free to collect light. It delivers 23.0 % module efficiency from a 1,954 × 1,134 mm frame.
About the AIKO Neostar 2S+ range
Neostar is AIKO's residential and light-commercial range, built around the same ABC cell in a smaller format with a black frame, so it suits domestic roofs where appearance matters as much as yield.
At 1,954 × 1,134 mm it is a residential-format module, sized to fit the rafter spans and roof planes of a standard UK house. The black frame and dark cells keep the array visually quiet on a front-facing roof.
Why installers specify this panel
- −0.26 %/°C power temperature coefficient — the array keeps more of its rated output on hot days, when a UK roof can sit far above the 25 °C the nameplate figure is measured at.
- Cell-level shade optimisation — the ABC cell structure recovers output around chimneys, vents and pole shadows without adding a separate optimiser to every module.
- Glass-glass construction — dual glass, 2.0 + 2.0 mm coated semi-tempered front and back instead of a polymer backsheet, for better resistance to moisture ingress and micro-cracking.
- Hail tested to 25 mm at 23 m/s — relevant for exposed and upland UK sites.
- All-black appearance — a black anodised frame and dark cells, for domestic roofs where the array has to be discreet.

Array sizing
Each panel covers 2.22 m². A 4 kWp array needs 8 of them (4.08 kWp over about 18 m²). A 6 kWp array needs 12 of them (6.12 kWp over about 27 m²). At 27.2 kg each they are a two-person lift.
