Tigo TS4 PV Module Advanced Add-On/Retrofit
Tigo TS4 PV Module Advanced Add-On/Retrofit is a Tigo TS4-A-O power optimiser rated 700 W, for one PV module, as a retrofit or on a new install.
A power optimiser is a DC-DC converter that sits behind an individual PV module, between the module and the string. It tracks that one module's maximum power point continuously, so a module that is shaded, soiled, differently oriented or simply weaker than its neighbours no longer drags the whole string down to its own output. The optimiser then presents a fixed, well-behaved voltage to the string, which is what allows longer strings and mixed orientations on the same inverter.
The Tigo TS4-A-O is different from the rest of this page: it is an add-on rather than part of an inverter platform. It clips to a standard module frame and works behind almost any manufacturer's inverter, which makes it the usual way to add module-level optimisation, monitoring and shutdown to an array that was never designed for it.
A retrofit add-on that brings module-level optimisation, monitoring and shutdown to a standard PV module, whatever inverter is behind it. A Tigo Access Point is required for module-level shutdown and a Cloud Connect Advanced for monitoring.

Before you order
- Without an internet connection the warranty is limited to 5 years. Fitted alongside a Cloud Connect Advanced kit, it rises to 25 years.
- Registration with the Tigo monitoring service must be completed within 90 days of the warranty start date for the limited warranty to be valid. This applies to the TS4-M, TS4-S, TS4-O and TS4-L, the Tigo Access Point, and the Cloud Connect Advanced when used for communication.
Additional suggested items
Ordered with this optimiser more often than anything else:
- Tigo Cloud Connect Advanced Kit with TAP- Indoor
- Tigo Access Point (TAP)
- Tigo TS4 Add-On Module - Optimised (Pack of 100)
Datasheets, application notes and installation guides are in the Documents tab below. See the rest of our inverter and optimiser range and our solar panels, or contact our sales team at sales@clearraysolar.com if you need help matching an optimiser to an inverter.
Almost any modern string inverter will run it - what matters is the string design. Check the panel's Voc and Isc in the Technical Specifications against your inverter's MPPT voltage window and maximum input current, or send us your inverter model and we'll size it for you.
Divide your inverter's maximum input voltage by the panel's open-circuit voltage (Voc), then leave headroom - Voc rises as temperature falls, so size for the coldest morning rather than the average day.
Panels ship with their factory leads fitted; the connector type and cable length are both listed in the Technical Specifications. Extension leads and additional connectors are ordered separately.
Bypass diodes limit the loss to the affected section rather than the whole panel. Where shading is persistent, panel-level optimisers or micro-inverters recover considerably more yield - ask us and we'll spec it.
The product and performance warranties are listed under the Warranty tab in Technical Specifications, and the manufacturer's full terms are in the Documents section.
Yes. Pallet quantities are available on stocked lines and work out cheaper per panel - contact us with your requirements for a project quote.
