Largest of the three IntelliHome builds, the 16kWh bundle pairs a wall-mounted low voltage battery and its accessory pack with one single phase S6 Plus hybrid. What you are choosing on this page is the inverter; the storage and the pack do not vary.
Ratings span 3kW to 10kW. On a bank this large the choice stops being about the roof and starts being about throughput – a small inverter will hold back both how fast surplus can be stored and how much of the battery can be refilled before an off-peak window closes.
Choosing the inverter
- Only sensible where the battery is being filled gradually from a modest array. Refilling sixteen kilowatt-hours at this rating takes the better part of a day.
- Keeps the connection straightforward on a property with no existing generation, at the cost of a slow fill on a bank of this size.
- A workable middle. Note the part number differs from the 5kW inverter we sell on its own, so check the code if you are matching an existing install.
- Around the point where the inverter stops being the bottleneck on a 16kWh bank for a typical overnight charge.
- A natural pairing at this capacity, particularly where the property has electric heating or charges a car at home.
- Maximum throughput in this single phase range. Connections at this rating usually come with conditions attached, export limitation among them.
The inverter is boxed with the battery when the order is placed, so there is no later upgrade step – what you select here is what arrives.

Who 16kWh is for
This size is aimed at properties whose demand genuinely runs past an evening: electric heating, a car charged at home overnight, or a household that wants to ride through most of a winter day on stored energy. If the meter readings do not support that, the 10kWh build is the better value and the 5kWh build covers an evening peak on its own.

Questions on the IntelliHome bundle
No. All six supply the same 16kWh wall-mounted battery and the same accessory pack. The inverter is the only variable.
Judge it on throughput rather than capacity. The larger ratings let the bank absorb surplus and refill inside a short cheap-rate window; the smallest will not empty or fill quickly on a battery this size.
The 5kW inverter supplied in this bundle has a different code from the 5kW we stock separately. Every card above carries its exact part number so the difference is visible before ordering.
It is, and so is the accessory pack. Both are linked above for systems being extended rather than built from scratch.
Notification is driven by the inverter rating and by any generation already connected, not by the battery capacity. The installer assesses that against the supply; it is not covered by the supply of this bundle.
