SolarEdge Home Battery V2 10kWh 1ph package
SolarEdge Home Battery 400V — 9.7 kWh at 100 % depth of discharge, 5 kW continuous, for the single-phase SolarEdge Home Hub.
A battery pays for itself by moving energy in time: solar generated at midday and electricity bought on an overnight rate, both spent in the evening. What decides whether it pays is the usable capacity, the charge rate and the cycle life.

About the SolarEdge Home Battery 400V
The SolarEdge Home Battery 400V is 9.7 kWh, and all 9.7 kWh of it is usable — SolarEdge rate it at a 100 % depth of discharge, which is unusual and is why it compares better than its nominal figure suggests. It delivers 5 kW continuously and 7.5 kW for ten seconds in backup.
It is DC coupled, so the solar charges the battery without going through the inverter twice, and it is managed by the same app as the rest of a SolarEdge system.
Which inverter it belongs to is the thing to get right. This is the single-phase battery. The three-phase Home Hub takes the 48 V BAT-05K48 instead, and the two cannot be swapped.
Which inverter will run this battery?
This is the 400 V SolarEdge Home Battery, the one the single-phase Home Hub takes.
Up to 3 batteries per inverter, 5,000 W continuous each, total limited to the inverter's rated AC power.

Stack rules, cabling and what else the job needs
The details that decide whether this battery suits the system:
- Up to three batteries per inverter, 5,000 W each, with the total limited to the inverter's rated AC power.
- 350 – 450 Vdc. Peak round-trip efficiency above 94.5 %.
- Installations with more than one battery need a pair of branch connectors per battery, excluding the last one — part IAC-RBAT-RWYCBL-01, ordered separately.
- Communication is wireless through SolarEdge Home Network, and the inverter may need the matching plug-in. Using RS485 instead can reduce the usable energy to 9,500 Wh.
- The floor stand (IAC-RBAT-FLRSTD-01) is a separate order and one is needed per battery. Wall mounting needs the reusable lifting handles (IAC-RBAT-HANDLE-01), also separate.
- 790 × 1,179 × 250 mm and 119 kg. Plan the lift.
- −10 to +50 °C operating. IP55, indoor or outdoor, natural convection, under 25 dBA.
- Certified to UL 9540A as well as IEC 62619, and the package no longer contains a fire extinguisher.
Where this battery earns its place
The Home Battery 400V is specified most often for these jobs.
Things worth knowing about this listing
- SolarEdge require the installer to be trained and certified for this battery. The certification course is in the SolarEdge Academy — contact our sales team about it before you order.
- The battery is designed for wireless communication through SolarEdge Home Network. Using RS485 instead can reduce the usable energy to 9,500 Wh.
- The mechanical design was changed to certify to UL 9540A on top of IEC 62619, and the package no longer contains a fire extinguisher.

Questions we get asked about this inverter
Will it work with my SolarEdge inverter?
Only if it is single phase. The three-phase Home Hub takes the 48 V BAT-05K48 instead. Check the inverter's part number, and send it to us if you are not certain — this is the most expensive mistake on this platform.
How much of the 9.7 kWh can I use?
All of it. SolarEdge rate the battery at a 100 % depth of discharge.
Do I need anything else?
A floor stand per battery, or the lifting handles if it is going on a wall, and branch connectors if there is more than one battery. None of them are in the box.
Can I fit it myself?
No. SolarEdge require the installer to be trained and certified for this battery. The certification course is in the SolarEdge Academy — ask us about it.
Does it still ship with a fire extinguisher?
No. The mechanical design was changed to certify to UL 9540A and the extinguisher was removed from the package.
