Tesla Gateway 2 AC Connection Box
The Tesla Gateway 2 AC Connection Box is an essential component of every Tesla Powerwall 2 and Tesla Powerwall 3 installation. The Gateway intelligently manages energy flow between the grid, solar PV system, Powerwall battery storage and your property, automatically switching to backup power during a grid outage.
Designed for residential and commercial battery storage installations, the Tesla Gateway provides advanced monitoring, seamless backup functionality and secure communication between all Tesla Energy components.
AC Grid Connection
The Gateway supports both single-phase (100A) and three-phase (80A) grid connections. During a power outage, the system automatically switches to backup mode, providing single-phase backup power to the property.
Scalable Energy Storage
A single Tesla Gateway can connect and manage up to 10 Tesla Powerwall batteries, making it ideal for larger home energy storage systems and future expansion.

Tesla provides a 10-year manufacturer's warranty as standard on all Tesla Powerwall system components, including the Gateway.
Included Accessories
The Tesla Gateway is supplied with one 100A Solar CT Clamp.
Installations requiring three-phase solar monitoring will require additional Tesla 100A Solar CT Clamps .

Fuse Requirements
From 1 April 2023, Tesla no longer supplies fuses or fuse holders with the Gateway kit. These components are mandatory to ensure the installation can withstand a 16kA short circuit and must be supplied by the installer.
Stocked lines ordered before 2pm go out for next-day delivery. UK mainland is typically 1-2 business days, with the Highlands and Islands taking a little longer.
Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Get in touch first and we'll arrange collection or send a return label.
Yes. Installers get trade rates, and pallet or project quantities are quoted individually - contact us with your requirements.
Prices are displayed ex VAT with the inc VAT figure alongside, so trade customers see the number they work from and everyone can check the total.
Send us the roof layout, the output you're targeting and any existing equipment, and our team will spec a compatible system and flag anything needing G98 or G99 notification.
Larger orders ship palletised on a tail-lift vehicle. Someone needs to be on site to receive it, and delivery is kerbside unless arranged otherwise.
