A monofacial panel generates from its front face only. A bifacial panel also captures light reflected onto its rear, which can add roughly 5-15% on a bright roof or a ground mount - most of the gain depends on what sits underneath it.

Work back from the available roof area and your inverter limits rather than the headline watts. Higher-wattage panels mean fewer fixings and less cabling, but the string voltage still has to sit inside the inverter MPPT window.

Where a panel is MCS certified, the certificate is attached to its product page under Documents. Scheme and grant eligibility also requires an MCS-registered installer, not just certified hardware.
